Stop Thermal Runaway with TR Sleeve
Prevent thermal runaway propagation between lithium-ion battery cells and mitigate catastrophic events.
Discover How To:
What is TR Sleeve?
Patented and recyclable paper-based material
TR Sleeve is a patented, battery cell paper wrap that prevents thermal runaway propagation, mitigates thermal energy release, and protects both human lives and the environment. It is capable of containing thermal events that heat up to 750 degrees Celsius.

Applications:
EVs, E-buses, E-scooters, E-bikes, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and handheld games.
Sustainability and Innovation
Lithium-ion battery fires take a long time to smolder out on their own, all the while, emitting lethal fumes and gases. This makes them doubly dangerous to the environment. TR Sleeve’s advanced technology neutralizes this type of smoke formation such that virtually zero hydrogen and methane is produced and circulated into the air. Further, it is reusable, biodegradable and can be safely recycled in all landfills.
TR Sleeve sets a benchmark for responsible and forward-thinking solutions that prioritize both safety and environmental consciousness.
Recyclable Nature of TR Sleeve
TR Sleeve is comprised of PACT® Thermo ShieldTM, a lightweight, pleated, paper material with a non-toxic, moisture vapor application that prevents thermal runaway, a phenomenon in which the lithium-ion cell enters an uncontrollable, self-heating state caused by extremely high temperatures, shaking or puncturing during transit. Thermal runaway can result in the ejection of toxic gas, shrapnel and/or particulates, as well as smoke and fire. If this occurs, the protective PACT® Thermo ShieldTM wrap immediately cools the internal environment of the package, while limiting oxygen around the payload.
